The Lexmark “Plugbuster®” soaking solution is an aggressive cleaning tool
for recovering problematic black Lexmark (including Dell, Compaq, Sharp, Xerox,
Brother) thermal inkjet cartridges. This concentrated solution softens up the
dried and coagulated inky “shoe polish” and helps to clean out the blocked ink
delivery channels that cause cartridge banding / streaky printing. It is used primarily to soak and clean the ink
delivery channels inside the cartridge prior to flushing with purified water.
The concentrate gets diluted 4:1 in clean water for the soaking purposes.
